3. Now with the RodWrap logo out, start wrapping by holding one of the tapered ends against the bottom of the rod handle. Hold it in place with one finger and turn the rod handle until you can stretch and overlap the tapered end you are holding. When you have sercured your first wrap start angling your wraps and wind your way up the handle laying down 1/8th inch overlaps.
4. With spinning rods wrap with the reel on the rod, with casting rods leave the reel off until you have wrapped up to and over the back half of the reel seat. Stop wrapping at the bottom of the threads on the seat and hold the rod and wrap with one hand and place the reel on the rod as you normally would. Now as you cinch the reel in place the reel will stretch the RodWrap into the back of the seat.
5. Secure reel in place with cinch, make sure cinch is as tight as it can go.
6. Now wrap forward to the end of the foregrip, either trim excess wrap at the end of the handle or wrap extra behind front piece of cork.
7. Secure last wrap around front piece of cork and apply FinishingTape to secure the RodWrap in place. Remove white backing from tape as you go and DO NOT STRETCH FinishingTape when applying.
We recommend wrapping the entire handle for many reasons and all of them are good.
